Feedback and reflections on CELT training:
My first day (15.02.2021 )in CELT started with formal registration and an ice break by our coordinator.103 Teachers from five states namely Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana gathered in the RIesi campus with lots of expectations to learn English enthusiastically.
The very next day I got the opportunity to start the session with Prayer Song.
Respected Dr. Ravi Narayan Chakrakodi, Professor taught me how to write in the blog. Whenever I had written essays I used to correct them from my childhood teachers, colleagues, and even sometimes I sought help from my sons. This is the first time I wrote the essay on" My teaching-learning experiences during a pandemic" on my own and published it on my blog. Every day he allows 2 to 3 teachers to present their blogs and guides to correct them. So I identified the mistakes committed by me and corrected them. Through action research, he paved me an idea to mold my children to be creative writers too.
Honest Dr.Hitesh C.Bhakat, Professor taught me how we can keep our class lively. Without pen and paper, he made us utilize our brains to capture the content to apply. I am inspired by his approach, multilingual skill, and curiosity to know every individual. He guided us to lead a happy, healthy, and heroic life to live peacefully.
Dedicated Dr. Pooja Giri, Lecturer impressed simply with her songs and activities. I will adopt these activities definitely in my school to feel the same enthusiasm I experienced in CELT.
Next is the ultimate Dr. Uzma S Raheel, who guided me to overcome my hesitation towards phonetics. Her simplest way of dealing with sounds made me learn more about phonetics.
I bought some books from the book fair to develop further.
The great Guru Dr. Gururaj, lecturer opened my eyes that I too can think and speak in English. This is the first time in CELT I told a cooked-up story without writing on paper. He felicitated me to bring out my potential.
Smart Mr. Suman Bandi, Lecturer, who was the coordinator of 30 days CELT Batch-4, created lots of opportunities to involve in the training. Those days without knowing the grammar rules properly, I committed mistakes. Because of him now I can recognize the mistakes after speaking or writing. I will do my best to overcome it soon with his guides.
First time in my life experienced
English library
I learned how to narrate a story and present an article through an audio material creation workshop.
First time in my life I experienced a language lab.
I utilized the resources. I will continue my reading here too.
I enjoyed the healthy food served by canteen Annas.
We celebrated women's day on March 8 th with a catwalk and blessed with brothers too.
The only thing that I missed during the program was exploring Bangalore city due to my health issues.
I learned many good things from my roommates Minimol from Kerala and Kalaiyarasi from Tamilnadu because these are my long days out of my home in my lifetime.
I am proud to be the representative for Batch 2 Group 2: And also the first time I anchored for feedback and reflection sessions too.
I learned many good ideas from teaching practice mates.
My teaching practice team shared their new techniques that are useful for my classrooms. I grabbed their ideas and shared my ideas too. We behave like our children and understood the difficulties of our beloved children too.
With lots of fear, I undergo COVID 19 test.
Thank God we are all negative.
We Tamilnadu teachers often gathered in the evening in front of the flag post to discuss future implementation in our schools. Our senior teacher Arjun guided us.
My state teachers allowed me to perform my cultural dance (Badaga). This is my first stage performance with the costume.
I came here just to break my barrier in spoken English but now I got the confidence not only to speak but also to update myself, to overcome hesitation, shyness, to cascade innovative ideas to our younger generation.
Where ever I go I prefer to sit on the first bench because of my height.
Irrespective of my age and state I am seated on the first bench throughout the training.
Heartfelt thanks to Sathish, the youngest teacher of this training who always gave space to sit with him.
Sabeerali understood my illness gave me a nice treat nearer to our campus.
Tech-savvy Srikanth, Shivbhargav helpd me in tough times. Swetha Shree and Swetha Swena supported me.
Singers Archana, Sabeerali, Prabhu and Magesh, Swarna, Samreen, Hina Kouser, Manigandan, etc entertained us with their melodious voices. Many silent heroes too inspired me. Thoughts provoking, news readers, and other special items made me capture their faces in my mind.
I am grateful to God for giving me the wonderful opportunity to live life peacefully and observe good things in every one of us.
Every day I'm thanking Lord Basavanna, whose photo is in our reception. Because I forgot that I was in bed for the past 10 months due to illness.
